The Government and the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) affirmed the importance of strengthening central-regional synergy at a Consultative Meeting held at the Sanur Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Bali, on Thursday (2/7), emphasizing that regions must serve as the main actors of economic development. Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Susiwijono Moegiarso, outlined the government's strategy to sustain economic growth of 5.61% in the first quarter of 2026 through strengthened investment, regulatory reform, improved logistics efficiency, and sustainable tourism development, with the Sanur SEZ standing as a concrete example of a new center of economic growth in the health and tourism sectors. Amid global economic pressures, Indonesia's economic fundamentals were deemed to remain solid, so synergy among the Central Government, Regional Governments, and DPD RI is expected to accelerate economic transformation and public welfare.
