PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN) held the Sanur SEZ Estate Regulation socialization as a governance and legal certainty framework to establish Indonesia's first sustainable health tourism ecosystem. Through integrated licensing simplification (such as eliminating local building permits) and operational incentives for foreign medical personnel and pharmaceuticals, this collaborative initiative aims to reverse the trend of Indonesians seeking medical treatment abroad while attracting world-class healthcare investments to Bali.
The series of SEZ development evaluation meetings continued with a site visit to the Galang Batang SEZ and Bintan Industrial Estate on Saturday, October 7 2023. This visit is a strategic step in order to encourage economic development and investment in the Riau Islands.
In order to support the development of the Bali SEZ, President Joko Widodo has issued Presidential Decree Number 6 of 2023 concerning the Bali Province SEZ Regional Council, which appoints the Governor of Bali as Chair of the Regional Council, the Mayor of Denpasar as Deputy Chair of the Regional Council, the Regional Secretary of Bali Province as ex-officio Secretary of the Regional Council, as well as other members of the Regional Council.
